Saving energy is good, but is the light also?

Pleasant lighting in your own home is important and plays a major role in how we feel. With attractive luminaires and lamps, we design our homes to suit our individual tastes.

LED is the light of the future – and it can already be used today throughout the home. LEDs are light diodes – the abbreviation stands for "Light Emitting Diodes". These electronic semiconductor components convert significantly more energy into light than into heat. Compared to conventional light bulbs, they are therefore much more efficient and environmental.

Advantages of LED technology

  • Minimal consumption: LED saves up to 90 % electricity
  • Extremely long service life: Up to 30,000 hours
  • Nice and bright: quality LED 5W as a substitute for a 40W light bulb
  • Pleasant colour temperatures: 3000 Kelvin (warm white)
  • On immediately: with full initial brightness
  • Unburdened: No infrared or UV radiation
  • Up-to-date: New design options due to compact dimensions
  • Robust: against vibrations and jolt loads

Recommended product: 281.01 LED bulb E27

  • Power: 4 Watt
  • Luminous flux: 360 Lumen
  • Life: 30000 Hours

  • Useful Information about LED technology and LED bulbs

The light from energy-saving bulbs (fluorescent lamps) was initially considered cold and unpleasant for use in homes. However, today, these compact lamps deliver pleasant colour temperatures from warm white (2700 Kelvin), neutral white (4000 Kelvin) to daylight white (6400 Kelvin). They produce a soft, low-contrast light for excellent room illumination.

Halogen lamps provide vibrant, highly accented light. Due to their continuous colour spectrum, the colour rendering of halogen lights – as well as the standard incandescent lights being phased out – comes close to natural sunlight. This means halogen light, in particular in low-voltage operation, remains an attractive and energy-efficient light solution.
